| In the late 1990s the Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern was hauling stone from the Hansen Quarry about a mile north of this spot. Trains were loaded directly on the Adirondack Main. This posed an operational issue with the then new Utica to Thendara passenger service. It was decided a siding would be built here where there was once a siding called Anos which was the name of the family that had land here. There was never a station at this location. |
