| Milepost 88 is currently just a post. When the original mileposts on the line needed replacement in the New York Central days they were replaced with concrete ones. In later years, either under NYC or New York State ownership they were replaced with sign posts with metal painted signs on top. Many in this stretch seem to have plywood instead of metal and this is sometimes the result. |
