Welcome to Beaver River
Beaver River has the distintion of being the only town in New York that you can't drive to. The only ways in are by a 9 mile hiking trail, boat across the Stillwater Reservoir or by the railroad (service not yet restored). The vehicles you see here were brought in by barge. Many residents here hold permits to operate Hi-Rail vehicles from Big Moose.
