Final look |
Description: |
One last view before leaving town, this small pond is seperated by a cauesway from Norridgewock Lake. At one time a rail spur ran just out of view to the left along the shore to serve a sand pit. It is sometimes visible in old photos of the station area |

The moon |
Description: |
The hike took much longer then expected and we were hurting. We did our best to get back before the sun went down but didn't quite make it. We are only a mile and a half from the Big Moose Station but the light is gone. It was pitch black by the time we got back to the truck with only the rails to guide our way. |
