This junction point was the result of the New York Central removing parrallel trackage from the Remsen station to this point in the 1960s. The two rail lines used to run parallel from the station site where they connected. This switch saved two miles of duplicate track. |

| Description: |
Snow is the name given to this point when Conrail inherited the line between Utica and Lyons Falls. At that point in time the Adirondack Division had been out of service for four years, last operating under Penn Central. When the NYC created this location it gave it the name "Remsen North" and stationed an operator in a shack here to oversee the connection of the two lines. |
